Information you provide

We store the email and password or sign-in link used for your account, the journal entries you type, check-ins and measurements you enter, photos you choose to attach, and reminder settings. Apple Health is optional and is not required to use the journal.

Information from your device

If you allow notifications, we store an Apple push token so reminders can be delivered. Face ID or Touch ID stays on your device and is used only to unlock the app. The camera and photo library are used only when you attach a progress photo.

If you connect Apple Health, the app reads only the categories you approve and stores daily summaries and workout records with your account. Raw heartbeat-level samples remain in Apple Health. If you create or edit weight, waist, or body fat in Catalyst, those user-entered measurements can be saved back to Apple Health.

How we use it

We use this information to operate your journal, send the reminders you schedule, and let you export your records. If connected, Health summaries support trends and comparisons around your journal entries; they are not used to make medical or causal claims. We do not sell personal or Health information, use it for advertising, or disclose it to data brokers. Purchases are completed on the Catalyst website in Safari, not inside the app.

Sharing and retention

Journal data and optional Health summaries are stored with our infrastructure provider so your account can sync. We share them only to operate the service, comply with law, or when you export or share them yourself. We keep them while your account is open.

Your choices

You can edit or delete journal records in the app, disconnect Apple Health, turn off reminders, and deny Health, camera, photo, or notification access in iOS Settings. Delete the whole account from You → Delete account. That removes the sign-in, journal, and any stored Health summaries associated with it.
